A message from the family:
Rod Swanson passed into heaven on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Many of the Republicans know Rod as the friendly greeter at all the meetings formerly held at the Chickamauga Library. He and his wife Marilyn greeted everyone by name, gave them a nametag, and wrote their names on a list for further contact. He and Marilyn were married for 60 years.
A detailed obituary is in the Walker County Messenger and the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
Memorial service is at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8451 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN, on Thursday, September 16, at 3:00 pm with visitation beforehand from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
